They also left behind many books that we can read today. They had doctors that checked on people's health in places like jails, and all over the city.        The most impressive achievement of the Muslim Golden Age is social mobility because everyone was equal. In the Muslim Empire everyone was thought to be equal, they could work to better themselves and get an education. They could improve through religious, scholarly and military achievements as opposed to in Medieval Europe where there were very rigid social classes and no social mobility. The Muslim Scholar Ibn Khaldun stressed that social structures were the cause of many historical events. Social mobility in the Muslim Golden Age is the most impressive achievement.

Medicine in Medieval Europe wasn't really avaliable, which is why 1/3 of the population died from the plauge. Physicians in the Middle Ages tried to make medicine with herbs and spices to try and help with the plauge, but it didn't have a cure then. There was a scholar named Ibn Rushd(Averroes), who was interested in every subject possible. He first focused on medicine and became chief physician to the Muslim ruler in Spain.
