In this book you'll read a novel about a child soldier. The novel is based on a true story and is written by Ishmael Beah. Ishmael was 12 when war came to his home, Sierra Leone. He struggles with the death of his loved ones and is recluded in the military as a soldier. Ishmael's way of thinking changes through a period of two years of fighting. Will Ishmael be able to come back to reality, to a normal life?

Hope because he still believes that his family is not death and that one day he will see them again.

Then the book is basically about war so that is an important word.

Death because every day hundreds of people died.

Soldiers because they converted the kids into soldiers to fight and kill.

Concsious because Ishmael still has the conscious that he knows he have done bad things like killing people.
