End Design
After twisting the wire the end design should look something like this depending on how dramatic of curves you wanted for the ring. I like to describe it as a wave of sorts because of the way it comes out. Congratulations you're all done!

With your other hand hold the connecting part to prevent it from coming apart. Twist the pliers in any direction to get the design. Keep twisting until you reach the size of design that you want. But make sure you don't do it to much so it doesn't fit on your finger.

Make the wire round
After you cooled down the wire, put in in the acid bath to clean for 45 seconds to 1 minute, and washed it off one more time it is time to round out the ring. Using a raw hide mallet, put the ring around a madrigal and lightly hammer. Take your time so you know the ends wont break apart. Soon the ring will be round but don't worry if it is bigger than your finger because after the design element it will fit.

Solder End
To start the process of soldering you will take the flux at the stations and put a fair amount on the part that will be connecting. Heat the flux up until it changes from white, to a hard white, to black, to clear. When the heating up is finished put one piece of solder on the connecting ends. Put the end of the flame on the solder going towards the way you want the solder to go. When the solder melts pull the flame off and cool it down.
NOTICE: DO NOT LET THE WIRE GET CHERRY RED IT WILL MELT AND YOU WILL HAVE TO START OVER!

Connect End and Cut Solder
Use pliers and the table to make each end flat and touching each other. The ends should be able to stay touching without you putting pressure on it. Hold it up to the light and if you see any coming through the part where it is connecting then you know it will not work. Then cut the solder given to you by your teacher. It is a good idea to cut 2 or more pieces just incase you drop one and lose it. For this project you will use easy solder because you will only need to solder one time.

This project was my favorite out of them all because of the design that came out and this depicts one of the major fashion trends that came back to life in 2016. For awhile this trend went away but it recently came back and personally I loved it so I wanted to bring it into class. It took me two tries to get it correct but in the end I loved the way the design came out. Since this was the second time I did it I can see the different it the cleanness of each flip, the curled ends, and shape of the choker.

Out of the 4 projects that I made this was probably my second favorite because even though it didn't turn out the best I was happy with it as my first project. I know it was not one of my better projects but I still liked how you can tell what it is supposed to depict. I have two cats at home so I wanted to do some project to represent that. Everyone has that one animal that they will just fall for and cats are mine making it a pretty bug thing in my life.

With the project I wanted it to emphasize on heart of gold. The body of the girl pictured is black to show the outside of someone is never perfect but their heart is always bright and has good meaning and good intentions. The chain used doesn't have a specific name so I just called it the S Bend Chain to sort of show the way the design shapes to. For me This was my third favorite project. I just didn't like the long process of soldering all of the metal and the wires together. I personally favor wire project over sheet metal because of this. But The design that came out i was proud of. My teacher took it to an art show at Harper College and this was a big deal for me because I never thought I was that good at art or that it turned out that well.

Because of a time crunch and not being able to use the torches or kilns I was not able to finish this project. Hopefully I will be able to finish it this week or during next semester class. It was supposed to be a necklace that represented the flower where someone picked off the petals and told themselves "he loves me, he loves me not". What I originally had planned was to have a two sided bezel with one side as the one shown and the other side would be a real flower in resign to preserve it. The clasp that I was going to use for the chain was hook and toggle and the chain again didn't have a specific name so I called it the Flat Ball and Drill chain to, again, the way the design comes out. This would allow you to take the chain apart to put the necklace on and take it off.
