1.8- Learning
activity - Reflection on my piece of evidence.

Powerpoint

“Dicas para uma boa apresentação” (Tips for a nice presentation)

1) The added value of choosing a
powerpoint presentation to explain how
to do a powerpoint presentation stands mainly on the power of example. I did perform this presentation so the students understand better the practical use of it;

2) Using powerpoint and projection
helped me to perform other related features such as visual contact, body
language, voice tone, etc. Everything was integrated in the objectives of a
general domain: oral expression;

3) I used the powerpoint scrolling
slides with a wireless pointer, in order to give me a better freedom in moving
myself and enhance visual contact. Afterwards, students made their own presentations,
using the same method and equipment;

4) There’s no doubt this tips leave a
great roomfor creativity and personal choices for the learners;

5) The presented orientations allowed
students to have a great range of options, using their ideas, their creativity in
whatever the subject they choose. After the example they were asked to do their
own presentations.

6) Only to a certain extent. For
instances, if they are asked to do group presentations.

7) As the students were given time (whether
in whether after classes) they had opportunity to strengthen the appropriation
of this techniques.
