We believe with a passion that it was our destiny  to move to the  west. Going westward will be a difficult trail because Mexico said Texas was theirs.  We also could not agree on a border. Our only choice to claim the land was war. But out general Stephen Kearny had orders to control Mexico and John Fremont Rebelled against the Mexico rule in the Bear Flag
