conor has become very closed. this connects back with the situation with lily, conor knows that people know about his mom but he wants to believe that they don't, it doesn't want to tell people about what he is going through. this story was true and it was about Conor, he was told by Harry that he no longer sees him, and that mad Conor mad, so, the monster showed up and told Conor about a tale on how the man made them see him, this lead Conor to beat up Harry that head up with Harry in hospital

In the first tale, the prince felt that the queen was not doing good and that she was evil to the village, so the prince fell in love with the farmers daughter and them killed her and blamed it on the evil queen. This connects to Conor's experiences because he feel that his grandma is evil and he doesn't want to live with her.
In the second tale, the Apothecary wanted the yew tree to heal people but the Parson wanted it to protect the church, so the Parson preached to the people not to go to the Apothecary. Then one day when the Parson's daughters were sick the Apothecary refused the help him, therefore the parsons daughters died. This connects to Conor's experience because he was only willing to be nice to the monster when he needed help from bullies, his grandma, and his mum.
Lastly, in the third tale, Conor and the monster beat harry up after he said that harry will no longer see him, and Conor wanted the monster to help him so harry could see him. This connects to Conor's experiences because he was angery and fed up with everything so he finally decided to stand up for himself, Conor wanted to get a punishment out of what he did to make him feel visible but instead he received no punishment.

In the movie the mom did not look as ill as the book made her seem. I feel that I would re-cast the mom, she was a very good actress, it would just the parts where she had to look very ill she did not look super ill, if she looked more ill it would have created a even more realistic look. I would have also added in Lily, I feel that she was a very important character in the book and I think that if Lily was added in it would have created more tension between Conor and Lily and it would have been a step further from it is. The other actors were really good, like Toby Kebbell, who plays the dad(lol hes my favorite actor) and the grandma and Conor were really good.
