Her work has encompassed a number of areas, including finance, law, and human resources. For more than a decade, she has been part of the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, overseeing programs in positions including assistant dean and adjunct professor. As a professor, Karin Kirkpatrick has helped both graduate and undergraduate students prepare to pursue their dreams in the business world. Karin Kirkpatrick's involvement in the world of real estate, meanwhile, has been focused primarily on sustainable land use. Much of this work was done with the Real Estate Foundation of British Columbia. During the three years she spent with this organization, she worked with NGOs and government organizations to support sustainable land use projects.
