This book relates to my theme because the main character has to rise above his past and inexperience. To become something more in the future. He is the most unasuming character and seems to be worthless for most of the story. Until he finds courage to rise above his past.
Reading the book Helped me understand my topic better because i didn't have to wing it I already new everything. I could use parts of the book I needed. Instead of having to use the whole thing. It made it way easier to understand.
J.R.R.T got his point across by creating his own world to draw the reader in.I chose this book for my fictional book because it is easy to understand and known world

M.L.K jr dream speech

Martin Luther King Jr I have a dream speech relates to my topic because he did not focus on the past of slavery and hatred but of the future of equality for all.He had to overcome his own personal battle against hating the whites. As a teen he actually made a vow to hate all white people.Despite his past he still became one of the most admired African American men ever.Reading M.L.K .Jr I have a dream speech actually gave me a real feel for how it was back then.It also helped me to wrap my mind around what his speech was really about .It wasn't just about blacks getting equal rights as whites. It was really about Living together in unity and peace no matter your color.M.L.K.Jr got his point across by Keeping it down to earth. He also spoke with emotion and passion. He did use fancy words or waste time. He said what needed to be said at the time.I picked M.L.K.Jr I have dream speech because it is a huge part of American history. And supports my topic.

Yo my mind is a house with walls covered in lyrics they're all over the place there's songs in the mirrors written all over the floors, all over the chairs and you get the uncut version of life when i go downstairs that's where I write when I'm in a bad place and need to release and let out the version of NF you don't wanna see i put holes in these walls with both of my fist till they bleed you might get a glimpse of how i cope with all this anger in me physically abused now that's a room I don't wanna be that picture ain't blurry at all, I just don't want to see it and these walls ain't blank I just think I don't wanna see em but why not I'm in here so I might as well read I got thank for all this anger i carry around wish i could take a match and burn this whole room to the ground matter of fact I'ma burn this room right now so now this memory for some reason just won't come down you used to put in the corner so you could see the fear in my eyes then took me downstairs and beat till I screamed and I cried congratulations, you'll always have a room in my mind but I'ma keep the door shut and lock the lyrics inside. I picked this song because it gave a real life example of not letting your past determine your future.

I chose this as my visual because it is a symbol of overcoming the past and looking to the future. This picture related to my topic because it shows blacks and whites forgetting the past to see the future. It also shows that the past does not determine the future .
