presentation: 
1.)The Lenape people believed in spirits. They thought that every living thing on Earth had a spirit.  
2.)The hunters would ask the animals if they could kill them. If the hunter was a good hunter then the animal would let himself be killed. If the hunter was a bad hunter then the animal would hide. Once the hunter killed the animal, the hunter would throw tobacco up in the air to signal to the spirits to allow another animal to be born.  The purpose of this ritual was to make sure that all the animals weren't killed off and made to disappear.
3.)When boys turned 12 years old, their father would bring them to the woods and leave them there. The boys were left without food, shelter or clothes.  The boys would go into a 'dream world' and during one of their dreams they would have a vision of an animal.  This animal would say that they would protect the boy when he hunts.
4). The Lenape people used plants for makeup and other things. Before they would cut the plant they would ask the plant for permission to use it.  If the plant said yes then you had to find one that was identical and take it out then you sprinkle tobacco over the where the roots were and that signals to the spirits to grow a new one.
5. They had different types of doctors and one of them was love doctors. When a women liked a man who didn't really seem to notice her, she would go to the love doctor and he would give you a bag with something inside and the women would put it under the man's house overnight and the next day the man would fall in love with her.  On the other hand, a man would get a girl by playing a flute while the women was outside and if she went over to you then she liked you.  If she didn't go over to you, that ment she didn't like you.  Also, a man would bring the women some beaver meat and she might take it.  If she does, she will bring back the man plants or corn or something delicious.  That is another way they got married.]]> 2017-01-26 00:55:16 UTC https://padlet.com/addisonismael/94q9w9t0lz7k/wish/149491130
