Henry Morton Stanley was a Welsh-American explorer that was best known for exploring parts of Africa like the Nile and Congo rivers. He did his first expedition to Africa (1879–1884) by following the Nile and Congo rivers down and traveling a total of over three thousand miles in the process. His second journey to Africa was working for King Leoplold ll. His instructions from Leopold were to claim the largest section of land possible to be a Belgian colony.

I believe that Stanley is the one to blame for the deaths of ten million Congolese people because he was Leopold's agent that went into the Congo river area with a purpose of claiming land. The land that he was there to take was already occupied by natives who lived there.
