Phoenix is a french band that was formed in 1997 and had its first debut album United but didn't really make headlines till their 2009 album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. as many artists that have careers that span ten plus years they have changed a lot.
i used the song lisztomania as an example of their earlier work and Flor Di Latte as a more recent example. Though the album Ti Amo didnt have as big of a following as Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix its still a good album. 
the album Ti Amo has such elements as repetition, timbre, and rhythm. Phoenix is often labeled as an underrated band by many of their fans. in my review i examine the elements we've learned in class and the elements we've learned in the readings for the class. In my paper i talk about the bands endless inventory and what this album means in terms of that and the band mates' connection with themselves.
one thing i enjoyed about this was how elements can apply to all music across the board, not just older music. like these elements just as easily apply to Phoenix as they do to Mozart and vice versa.
