The science teacher and I collaborated on teaching/grading the projects. We were fortunate to have a media lab at our school with a media specialist so she along with the science teacher helped the students with the research portion of the project. The students worked on writing their research papers and citing their sources in my class. This was almost 8 years ago, so I know that there have been so many advances in what is available for students when it comes to research. I can remember having trouble finding safe research engines for the students to use as well as struggling with the firewalls the school had set up.

I like the layout of your Padlet! My students are 3+ grade levels below their grades (6-8). To have them research, I mainly use technology because they do not like to read or write. I like the idea of Teaching without Frills. I will check into this and maybe I can get some ideas on how to get them more interested and better prepared to research.  Overall, your whole Padlet is very informative.
