The Black Death came in three forms-pneumonic, septicaemia and bubonic. The
pneumonic type, as shown in the source targets and kills the victim through the the lungs, "the organism settles in the lungs and over a couple of days, the lungs liquefy and the victim coughs them up." The septicaemia type targeted the blood stream, which stops the victim's ability to clot, so they are-"essentially bleeding to death from everywhere, at the same time." The bubonic type was the most common, and targeted the immune system, causing it to become inflamed
www.history.com/topics/black-death
(The link isn't working)

While undergoing extreme pain and discomfort, the infected would also have to face-their family, choices and ultimately, death. If a parent got infected then they would have to choose whether to leave the family, to attempt to protect their them or stay and, most likely infect them too. If a child got infected, their parents may try to save the other children and send them away or stay and, most likely infect their family.

The rats that caused the disease travelled on ships so it was very hard for people to exchange goods in fear of spreading the plague. The people who survived were left to get rid of the many bodies, as shown in the mass burials articles. Some people tried to flee their towns and cities but were turned away by other towns and cities. This shows that everyone was turning against each other.

Back in the Middle Ages people were also very superstitious so they thought that the Black Death was Gods punishment, so people prayed to God

When the plague hit different areas people started dying more and more everyday. People would be found dead on the streets and in their houses. Cemeteries were becoming overcrowded with dead bodies, everyday it would fill up some more, this is what lead to mass burials. People would be dumped on top of each other and then buried under large graves.
"At every church they dug deep pits down to the water-table; and thus those who were poor who died during the night were bundled up quickly and thrown into the pit. In the morning when a large number of bodies were found in the pit, they took some earth and shovelled it down on top of them; and later others were placed on top of them and then another layer of earth, just as one makes lasagne with layers of pasta and cheese."
