I collected all the items which can represent my personality and passion. I like perfumes, plants, fruits, chocolate and writing. I also like silver items. I wanted to add more but it was not fitting in my composition. This is the natural version on my phone. I combined cool and warm color altogether. I added green too to get the feeling of refreshment. Purple is my favorite color and it makes me feel creative.

This photo reminds me of how people tend to colorize photos from the 1940s. I don't know how accurate the colors can be but it's impressive we could use software nowadays to colorize old photos. More colors can make photos more lively. This photo however doesn't look alive compared to default and High Sat.

I learned that different filters and colors can change the feeling of the same photo. Some photos may feel more sad like the Cold and Black and White filter, and other photos can feel more happy like Warm and High Saturated. For my creative process, I took random but also sentimental things I found in my room and house. I put the objects on a paper cutting board on the floor in front of my sliding closet door since I don't have other blank background areas in my house.

The items I gathered around my room represent who I am. The hat is from a gift I received from my gf in my visit to Kentucky, the book "firestorm" is a story I love to read from, the neck pillow shows how I'm always trying to relax and to take things slow, the box and red paint shows my creativity in drawing as well as creating my own gift for my mother back in elementary school. The seashell is my fun experiences in the places I go to, and the computer mouse and earphones represent the online enjoyment of music and games I play every day. All of these items combined show who I am in enjoying life.

When I modified my photo to make it black and white I noticed how old fashioned the image felt and I think the hat combined to the black and white image is what gives that feeling. The other items used in the image have the opposite effect however it still has that dark and quiet feeling.

I notice after changing the saturation on the image I noticed that the brown and red became more redder like the hat and the blick red paint as well as the book "firestorm" title. I also noticed that the other objects had their colors such as the blue boxes, seashell, and earphones had gone brighter. The black colors/shadows mainly stayed the same from the original image

For the Low Saturation change I've noticed that the objects look very worn down, it's something I can't really describe but the image has such a grey environment and it just has the feeling of sadness. Especially the hat and neck pillow, they both look rough.

The color temperature change made the whole image have a summer theme and I really love that a lot. Every object is so much brighter just like the saturation change image and it makes me feel comfortable. The blue coloring on the neck pillow is even much brighter.

There is so much difference between the warm and cool temperature image changes. The objects and environment around looks like it was taken in a cold room (which my room isn't cold at all). The blue colors on the object sticks out so much but I did notice that the white colors on some objects look redder, which is very interesting and it feels much darker.

Increasing the saturation really enhanced the undertones of each color. The reds of the dried roses. It also enhanced the shadows undertones and gave it a very warm look.

This is my favorite composition of all the photos I took because of the variation in height and size of all the plushies and figures. The lighting can be improved, but I’m happy I could create some shadows by placing my light source from the side. I chose these items because I wanted to show that despite the pressures of aging, I can still hold onto the simple things that bring me joy. All the plushies and figures are items that I collected over time, either buying them myself or gifted from friends. They are constant reminders that my life doesn’t have to be so serious even if my age (by society’s standards) sounds serious.

For this photo, I used the “Noir” filter on my iPhone. This photo made me laugh because these items are typically colorful but without their color they come off as serious, almost eerie. I like that the shadows being cast became more emphasized.

After increasing the saturation, the oranges increased in intensity. Some areas look as if they have a glow to them. For example, the frog on the right became close to neon green. The orange pumpkin on the lower right almost looks red. The clock looks like it didn’t change much, maybe because it doesn’t have much color to begin with.

I like this composition because of the angle and placement of items. I like that the clock is the focal point but as you let your eyes wander, you get to see the little details of the figures around it. It looks like they all coexist together with the clock.

This is my favorite set up of the objects that I chose. I like the imbalance and I feel like the colors and direction of the objects move your eye through the picture. The bright orange of the pumpkin stands out in contrast to the mostly white and light colored objects. I could have done more with the lighting but overall I think it's okay. I chose these objects to show my love of shoes as well as Track and Field. I added in my necklace from my sister's business (Sulloarelics.paris on instagram) that I love snd wear everyday. And the pumpkin is a a gift from my boyfriend he got for me because I LOVE Halloween. I put jewelry making tools in there too because I used to do a lot of that.

This is the black and white composition. I like how the image is almost spit halfway horizontally with the dark bottom and light top. It's interesting how dark some of the colors got and how light there's are. for example the blue of the shoes looks darker than the orange pumpkin.

Decreased saturation. I did not decrease the saturation 100% because I still wanted to see some colors. Decreasing the saturation makes the picture look like it's from the olden times. I like the soft composition and calmness of the picture.

Increasing the warmth makes the pumpkin neon again like in the high saturated picture. The other colors seem similar to the normal one but the whites have a yellow tint to them. The blues also look a little darker.

The objects I selected represent my life with my husband. The wedding rings in the foreground represent 30 years together. The ornaments are something we give each other every year. For the Candy Cane, I give that to my husband. It’s the same shape but with different designs each year. The wooden box is a puzzle box that I collect and the glass ball is what my husband collects. We like wine - this one is OK but the label caught our eyes. Then the crystal champagne flute is something we use on special occasions.

I find the black-and-white photo easier to take in all at once because there aren’t any colors competing for my attention. It also feels calmer overall, and I especially like how the shadows become more pronounced. That said, I do miss the color. If I were to edit this in Photoshop, I’d consider selectively adding color back to the candy cane ornament to make it the focal point.

The original photo. I put my stuff in the corner because as an introvert, I liking hiding in corners as long as there's no people watching me. And as you can see, my introvert-ness does not stop me from flexing(sometimes). I would've put my favorite boba drink in there but unfortunately, I haven't been to the mall lately. I made a Rin Kagamine origami not so long ago! She's been my favorite vocaloid since 6th grade! And speaking of, yes, I went to last year's Miku Expo. How did you know? I've dreamed of going to one since 5th grade and I accomplished that last year; hence my glowstick. Aloe vera juice is my favorite so much that I have a huge bottle to drink. The universal studios ticket is a reminder of my gradnite at Universal studios. And it was my first time going too! I would die for chicken flavored cup of noodles any day of the week. If only I could have maruchan. My dsi has been with me since I was about 7 or 8 years old and I've never stopped loving it since. I remember playing Pokemon White 2, Sonic Classic Collection, Moshi monsters, Cooking Mama, Nintendogs, Mario Party DS, Tinkerbell and the lost treasure, and so much more! I like candy too! My sonic necklace represents my long lasting love for sonic since I was 7! Ah, and my favorite character's stand, Simeon from the hit game Obey Me. I've been playing that game since late 2020. Too bad they discontinued the games.

When adjusting the picture to black-and-white it became an image that came from the early 1950s. I love the darkness that the black shading makes for the objects that are usually black. It's like an old movie back in the day that was used in black-and-white kinda resembles that with this image. I love how Woody looks at this type of color that was added because it also shows him in his cartoon version that was seen in the movie.

This is my favorite default camera color because I love how the colors popped out Than how my camera usually is with the settings on. I love how it brings the little brighter on the Nintendo switch and it just gives it a little bit more light the areas that needs it while the other areas are more darker and it makes it still work.

With the high saturation ever made the colors even brighter than the normal settings that I usually love. For an example More of the dark blue being shown on the shoes because usually when I take a picture of the shoes, they usually come out pretty dark like black. I noticed when I applied the filter a lot of the colors, like the blue of the book and the pink of the lip oil turned gray. But dark colors intensified like the tote bag and the hair tie. This photo saturation is on the low end of the scale rather instead being on the high end.

When I moved the saturation to 100 color looked "hyper" if that makes sense. Like especially light colors. An example is the white of the little bag and the pink of the oil. It made all of the colors of the photo pop. I believe this means that higher saturation means it makes more of the color pop.

In this photo I set the dial to -100 meaning the lowest possibility of saturation. I noticed the colors in this photo is kind of similar to the black and white filter I did. Like that photo the colors don't pop as much except for the black and white colors. Since all of the things that had colored like the book, headphones, and even the wallet have lost its color. But instead the whites and black colors are popping even more in this photo.

In this photo I set the dial to 100, when I did that the hue of the picture seems more yellow. The warmth being high, made it look like it was being shoot outside during the golden hour. This photo has been set to -100 warmth. The first thing I notice is the very almost neon looking blue on the book cover. I did not expect that. It brought some of the colors put more like the white bag, lip oil, book cover, and the wallet. It kind of reminds me of the movie "Twilight", I know that movie has a blue tint over it. The blue color of the book, the pink pop in lip oil, and the brown of the tote bag. This hue is more leading towards blue-ish.

Thanks to the light source from the little duck night lamp, it bring the color of this composition leaning more on the warmer tone, I also try to play around with shape of the object and the height to go together while make sure the biggest object be the center of the picture. Still a bit struggle to find a good arrangement for the objects.

From my point of view when I take the original picture, the light doesn't seem so blue, but when I change the temperature the white light turn more blue and the yellow/ orange light from the duck also turn into slight green yellow, I wonder if it really because of the effect of blue overlay on top of yellow. Some other warm color like red and orange from fanta and the figure also changing in saturation.

While is one is the opposite of the cold temperature, the blue color seem to be desaturated a lot more. This time the focus is on the ducky lamp which produce yellow light source now turn into orange light source, while there still cooler colors in the background but it quite low saturate so you can't really tell if it blue or not. The red color from the figure hair and the orange color from the Fanta become extremely saturated and the color is very bright and vivid as you can see. It really bring out the main color of the object when you switching between the cold and the warm tone out.

With the low saturation on , the colors of the picture seem to be taken away or rather look more grey and dull. It's give off an very sad and cold vibe, aside from the bright of the light you can still tell some color when it got low saturation.

With the high saturation the color from both warm and cold become more visible and vivid. With this change you can see two different light source with two different color merge together. When the object got higher saturation it become more lively as there many colors appear.

With the black and white filter apply, you can point out where the brightest value and where the darkest value is in the picture. when there no color show, some of the colors from the object tend to blend in with the background.

This piece is in last place because I felt that it was too chaotic and flat. There is no variation in height and it feels like everything is on the floor. This also served as an issue as a lot of items were blocked because of the similar heights.

I could said this is my favorite composition out of three of them, because of the touch of double light sources which make the picture more dynamic. The light from the duck lamp wasn't able to bring out the color to the teddy bear so I have to add another light source in and it work really well with the cooler object and warmer object meet each other in the middle

Blue hues!! Winter vibes!! The blue in my dsi and from my sonic necklace shine brighter in cool!! the white seems to be a clearer white than creamy white. Perfect for a horror movie scene. I do notice that even the green of my juice is also brighter!

I'm a big family person and I feel like that's a part of me so I included my parents and partner in my compositions. I used my moms purse, keys, jackets, rosary and rebozo. I used my dads hats, jackets and leaf blower and my partner's guitar and its case. I used 2 Mexican dolls and a blue angel jet to symbolize my half sisters who live on their own, one is in the air force and doesn't have much contact with us. I also used my jackets, my backpack, my favorite books, my music albums, my drumsticks, my headphones, my telescope and a cat toy. I made my symbol the panda bear, which has been with me since I was 3 and holds a lot of sentimental feelings, especially towards my late maternal grandmother. I tried making the photo feel home-y and peaceful, since my family is pretty content and loving. I wanted to show my nationality subtly by arranging the jackets and hat into the Mexican flag. I left my moms purse on the stool to symbolize how I look up to her as well as my sisters. I also had the dolls set there because they are older than me. My dads leaf blower is also set up to be higher than everyone else because he is ‘the head of the house’. I made my telescope higher because it’s what I hope to become, as if I’m looking into the future. I made my backpack higher than the placement of the guitar because I’m older than my partner but the open case symbolizes how I look up to him and hold him higher than myself.

For the black and white photo, I felt like all of the points of interest were removed and made the picture feel empty. I think next time I create something I'll put my phone on grayscale like I did for my photography class.

For my high contrast photo, I felt like it was from those older TVs from the 90s and early 2000s with really high contrast and would have a high pitched buzz when you would turn it on. The high contrast made all of the warm colors hotter but helped the cooler tones colder.

With the Low contrast, the photo seemed somber and melancholy, which I kind of admire. The picture is dull and grey almost as if it's fading, like a memory. I often think about my memories and how fleeting life is, so I tend to get stuck in nostalgia pretty often and I like that I was able to capture that feeling in a photograph.

I really liked the cool toned photo because it’s as if I took the picture during summer or a really bright day without any lights on in my house. We have some sliding doors which aren't really doors and are just huge windows in the living room next to the door so plenty of light comes through when it’s a sunny day. It made me feel kind of what the low contrast photo felt like but if it was more light hearted because it made me think of when I would go to the pool often during middle school.

Here is my second favorite composition. I like this photo but I don’t love it. I like that this picture shows more of my interests but doesnt show my values as a family person as much. You can see my books and albums more clearly as well as my telescope, but you can hardly see my mothers purse and dads leaf blower and are more to the side while showing off my partner's guitar case. I like this composition because it could be like a sequel to my first favorite. My telescope is almost pointing at the guitar case and the case towers over everything. I feel like this picture is split in 2. My green jacket with the drumsticks and everything music as well as my partner is on the left while my parent’s things and sisters are on the right. I like to see this as making my own family.

Jhovanni. I noticed the difference between your default and highly saturated photo. The main difference I have noticed is the table/floor color is strikingly difference depending on filter compared to the rest of the objects. Saturated makes the table look more orange while in real life its more blue and black.
