With the increase of pollution all over the Earth, it has become hard to live without fear of getting a disease, or a species becoming extinct. Nowadays, almost everything we touch, drink or see has been contaminated with different sorts of pollutants (air: greenhouse gases; land: garbage, waste food and drinks, chemicals; water: chemicals, wastes).

However, we have a solution. Installation of prurifiers in all sorts of terrain will not only help clean out the surrounding pollutants but also convert them into a useful resource that can help increase the health and lifestyles of all living things on the planet. With purifiers cleaning the environment around you it also gives out fresh resources, thus they are replenishable.

Loss of biodiversity is yet another casualty due to the impact of human beings on the environment. It is the result of 3.5 billion years of evolution. Habitat destruction is a major cause for biodiversity loss. Habitat loss is caused by deforestation, overpopulation and pollution as well.

The more we reduce our demand for new resources, the less habitat will be destroyed to get those resources or the energy to make those products, and the less waste goes into the landfill.

Re-use and recycle can also be helpful. It reduces the amount of waste going into landfills and the space needed to hold that waste. Look into ways you can use those purchases intended for single-use. Keep up with what is recyclable in your area. As new markets for recycled products open up, even small towns like mine can increase the numbers of items that they are able to collect.

It is also a cause of deforestation.Halting deforestation is also vital to mitigating the impact of climate change.
Sensors and satellites which will be added will raise an alarm to the correct authorities at any signs wildfires or of fouls play like illegal tree cutting and poaching. Also the forest could be divided into sections between which the greenery would be cleared and the land would be barren as an added measure to prevent wildfires and contain the damage.

The ozone layer or ozone shield is a region of Earth’s stratosphere that absorbs most of the Sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation. It is very efficient at absorbing harmful radiation even in very small amounts. The ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun is very harmful and can be destructive to our natural ecosystems and the environment. In animals, it can effect their fertility. In humans, it can cause skin cancer and cataracts. Plants are as well affected by UV radiation as it negatively impacts their ability to develop and grow properly. Since the discovery of ozone depletion, the Montreal Protocol was established to regulate the manufacture and use of the chemical compounds that cause the ozone depletion.

To prevent the further depletion of the ozone layer, manufacturers should only sell energy-efficient appliances like fluorescent bulbs. Planting trees is necessary, as they absorb UV rays greatly and thus protect the environment. Old refrigerators and air conditioners should be constantly replaced as they are the major contributors of CFC in the atmosphere. Farmers should avoid or restrict the use of insecticides and pesticides. The solutions to ozone depletion are relatively easy to implement, but we must be willing to accept these changes. It is the responsibility of humans, as active parts of the ecosystem, to take care of our planet.

Studies show that each year 18.7 million trees are destroyed because of wildfires, Jhuming, hydroelectric projects. These cause massive destruction.
However, we’ve found a way to prevent such issues. The forests are divided into sections and each section has a sensor installed. These sensors light up and send a signal to the booth which also sends a signal to the fire department . If this system is established , by 2030 , we could reduce the loss of tress by 67% .

Ozone layer depletion is one of the most serious problems faced by our planet earth. It is also one of the prime reasons which are leading to global warming. Ozone is a colourless gas which is found in the stratosphere of our upper atmosphere. The layer of ozone gas is what which protects us from the harmful ultraviolet radiations of the sun. The ozone layer absorbs these harmful radiations and thus prevents these rays from entering the earth’s atmosphere. Ultraviolet radiations are high energy electromagnetic waves emitted by the sun which if enters the earth’s atmosphere can lead to various environmental issues including global warming, and also a number of health related issues for all living organisms.

Ozone layer depletion is not something that affects any specific country or region. The whole world is vulnerable to its after effects. That makes it important for each and every one of us to take actions to reduce ozone layer depletion. International agreements such as Montreal protocol in 1987 have helped in reducing and controlling industrial emission of Chlofluorocarbons. More and more of such international agreements between countries is necessary to bring down ozone layer depletion. At individual level each and everyone also can contribute towards reducing ozone layer depletion. Buying and using recycled products, saving of energy, using of public transport can do a lot in combating ozone layer depletion. The most important thing that we can do is spreading awareness. Our individual efforts will go a long way in saving the earth’s blanket and keep our planet earth liveable for us and our future generations.

Ozone is a colorless gas that can be a lung irritant when it is present at ground-level. When it is in our atmosphere, however, it helps to shield us from the dangerous radiation that the sun’s rays produce. These solutions to ozone depletion can help to reinforce this shield so that it stays in place for future generations.

1. Limit fossil fuel powered transportation.

Transportation networks account for up to 70% of the greenhouse gas emissions that nations like the United States produce. By limiting the burning of fossil fuels, we remove the gases that can interfere with ozone production, thereby encouraging the shield to replenish itself. Something as simple as taking the bus to work or school instead of driving just one day per week can have a profound effect.

2. Prevent any use of CFCs.

For over 40 years, it has been known that the chlorine in CFCs breaks down the ozone layer at a rate of 100,000:1. Continuing to update agreements such as the Montreal Protocol and the Vienna Convention can help the world continue to be on a path toward recovery. Avoid any products, including pesticides, which could encourage a CFC release.

3. Embrace renewable energies.

Coal-fired power plants helped to fuel the industrial revolution. They have also helped to acidify our oceans and contribute combustion-related CFCs into our atmosphere. By switching these power plants off and replacing them with renewable energy options, such as solar or wind, the ozone layer will have an opportunity to recover.
