Facebook cousins - met people from other cities and states on facebook (with vetting!) know the risks, know your audiences and content even if you are not a content creator. Know your demographic. Transparency, and authenticity is big right now. Even if you don't want a connection, be polite.

During Covid - a work group what were supposed to meet in person, moved virtual during covid. for 18months i never saw them in person, and now they are my best friends after working on a project together online for 18 months

I don’t really use it to connect to new people. I keep up with the current and past friends that I have acquired or family members. It’s too much to try to be friend strangers. Unless I’m at an advance and find like-minded people, I don’t go out my way on social media to connect.
