Women´s suffrage impacted society in social, economic, and political. Social wise the suffrage created bigger expectations of women and by the early twentieth women were allowed to attend college and study a profession. Economic wise women began increase the roles in society and their salaries increased as well but not to the amount of men. Although it didn't come to the be equal between men and women it was still a big success for them than before. Lastly in politics the territorial legislature of Wyoming granted women the right to vote in 1869. In 1917 when the US went to war women suffrage was submitted into the House of Representatives. By 1919 it had passed through both houses of Congress and then soon ratified by the necessary 36 states. Soon then the women finally achieved justice when the 19th Amendment also known as the Susan B. Anthony Amendment, it became law in August 1920.

3. Who were some of the key leaders of this movement? Provide a brief description.Elizabeth Cady: Stanton was an american social activist, suffragist, abolitionist and a leading figure of the early women's rights movement. She wrote the Declaration of Sentiments as a call to arms for women's equality. Susan B. Anthony: she was teacher for 15 years, she then became active in temperance, but because she was a woman she was not allowed to speak at the rallies, due to this experience and her acquaintance with Elizabeth Cady Stanton it lead her to join the woman's rights movement in 1852 she then dedicated her life to women's suffrage.
