I am grateful for having parents who are good role models, are always there for me, and guide me on the correct path in life. They protect me from the dangers of the outside world and genuinely want the best for me. I respect and love them because people like them are extremely hard to come by.

I am grateful for the opportunity for me to develop a hobby in piano. This hobby has helped me develop my creativity, musicality, and a sense of accomplishment. Currently, I have played for over 10 years and have had the chance to complete level 10.

I am grateful for my friends (not all in this photo) who have been there for me at my worst and helped me when needed. They have helped me grow into a better person throughout the years I have been at Carney.

I am grateful for Red Robin, not for the food, but because it is a place I have had countless fun hangouts with friends. Without this location, I would not have had many hangouts in which I can develop my social skills and social group.

I am grateful for the gym as it is a place I can clear my mind and focus on my own well-being. Whenever I feel down, going to the gym makes me feel better as it makes me feel productive.

I am grateful for the lifeguard courses I am able to partake in to later aid me in finding a job. Additionally, they have greatly increased my interpersonal skills and mindset towards things.

I am grateful for the delicious yet healthy food my mom and grandma make every day for my family. Over the years, I have grown into a mature body with almost 6 feet of height largely because I am well fed and my nutritional needs are met.

I am grateful for spirit week and the fesitivites that have come along with it. This week is very good for me as I do not have to wear a uniform and can go to extracurriculars directly after school instead of going home first.

I am grateful for the opportunity to take part in sports such as track and cross country. Over the years, they have helped me develop my athleticism and overall health. For example, I feel much less tired now because my circulatory system is more efficient.

I am grateful for the trees and mountains around my house which shade me from the sun during the summer. While all my friends are burning inside their exposed houses, the nature around my house mostly protects me and my family from the scalding heat of the elements.

I am grateful for the weekends where I can goof off around the city and see goofy things such as a man carrying around a big yellow balloon. These opportunities give me a change to unwind from the stresses of school and lifeguarding.

I am grateful for sleep because it helps me gain mental clarity and make me not tired. For most people, sleep is underappreciated but I recognize the mental and physical benefits of a good night of sleep.

I am grateful for mundy park because it is first place where I participated in competitive sports. To this day, I still compete in 4k and 5k races there every week to improve my stamina and speed. on November 4th, I will be competing in cross-country provincials largely due to the beautiful courses and scenery where I practice and race every week.

Today I am grateful for my pets who got me through the covid-19 lockdown a few years ago and kept me from going insane from boredom.
