         <description><![CDATA[<div>Feast Day: January 21st<br>Born: 291<br>Died: 304<br>Patronage: engaged couples, chastity, girls, virgins, victims of rape, gardeners, and crops.&nbsp;<br>Story: Saint Agnes dedicated her life to God at a young age. Many suitors tried to take her virginity, but she refused even when forced by authorities. As a result, she was killed. Accounts of her death vary.&nbsp;<br>Interesting Fact: Every year on  Saint Agnes' feast day, the pope blesses lambs, whose wool will be used to make stoles for priests.</div>]]></description>
