The giant diamond

Once upon a time there was a beautiful, gigantic diamond, as big as a simple house. He was always seen on the mountain behind the village, but no villagers knew of his value. Until one fine day a gemologist arrived in the village in search of that diamond, knowing its true value. When the villagers learned of his value, they went crazy and everyone went in search of the one, imagining the luxuries and power that would have him. Upon arriving at the mountain, everyone was extremely shaken by what they saw… THE GEMOLOGIST WAS DEAD BECAUSE THE DIAMOND WAS CURSED, right behind the diamond there was a large plaque written: "ANY EXISTING BEING THAT TOUCHES THIS GREAT DIAMOND WILL BE KILLED INSTANTLY".
There wasn't any villager who dared to touch the diamond, even today there are rumors that the diamond is still there.

One day I went to the lake which was on the other side of town, as I was on my school vacation so my parents and I decided to go to Swan Lake. It was night when I heard a noise coming from outside, when I left I saw something flying out of the lake, because as it was at night I couldn't see it well. Once again I woke up, it was 6 o'clock in the morning, and the lake was so beautiful that I wanted to get into it and that's when I saw a big swan coming out of the water and suddenly there were many beautiful swans and I was admiring them.

The Hare and the Tortoise

Once upon a time there was a tortoise and a hare who were arguing about who was faster.

The hare bragged about being the fastest and made fun of the tortoise for being too slow and too quiet.

Tired of all this mockery, the tortoise made the hare a proposition:

"I bet I can beat you in a race!"

The hare, appalled, first mocked the tortoise's audacity and then accepted the bet.

They set the day, the time, and the place, and several animals showed up to watch the long-awaited race.

They started. The hare shot ahead, but the tortoise was not shaken, and continued in the race at his own pace, slowly and steadily.

The hare, however, confident in her speed, believed that victory would be won more easily if she let the tortoise pass in front, taking advantage of the race and then overtaking her. In this way, she could win by humiliating her opponent, the turtle. And so she executed her plan.

As it was already far ahead of the tortoise, the hare stopped and decided to rest until the tortoise overtook it. The plan was to let the tortoise stay a few meters ahead of him, and then run off, overtake him, and win the race. So the hare lay down on the side of the track, leaned back in the shade of a tree, had a snack, and unwittingly fell asleep.

When the hare woke up, it was too late, for the tortoise was crossing the finish line. The hare tried, and ran away, but it was in vain, for the tortoise got there first and won the race.

After the victory the tortoise said to the hare:

"I bet and I won! See how right I was? Learn this lesson well: when victory is uncertain, speed or any other privilege alone is not enough, especially when combined with arrogance and negligence. On the other hand, constant discipline and effort will always get you where you want to go. And I'm still carrying my house on my back!"

Based on the fables of Aesop and La Fontaine.

Morals of the story:

Continuous discipline and effort will always win out over undisciplined and negligent competence. Slowly and always. Continuous effort is worth more than negligent privilege. Don't count on victory ahead of time.
