Water is so important to everyone, ESPECIALLY those countries that are severely dry and have deserts, but due to them being most rich in the oil industry, some would rather choose oil over water any day just for the money.

In the article "The Positive and Negative Affects of Oil," it states, "oil explorers send seismic waves into the ground to determine if a oil is present. These seismic exploration is disorienting whales and other marine life causing the the whales to beach themselves, according to the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund... Once an oil-well location is established, roads, landing fields, buildings and other necessary construction for workers living at the location disturb the animal inhabitants and damage the landscape."

In "Yemen is Tearing Itself Apart Over Water," it states," government officials estimate that local disputes over land and water already lead to 4,000 deaths every year...Sana’a is badly affected, too. Supply is already so poor here that municipal taps function on average only once a month. Its 2.6 million residents have long relied on rooftop cisterns filled with water expensively tankered in from elsewhere." Since either their water is dirty and can't be filtered, or they have NO water and other countries have to SHIP water over there. That's kinda sad how some people actually don't take it seriously and just brush it off.

Oil can be a big jump for people and help them with things, but you wouldn't be here if it weren't for water. About 65% of your body is made of water. If a little bit of oil goes into the oceans, animals get affected, the land gets affected, and eventually the water we drink will be affected, THEN what's gonna happen? Overall, I think water is more important.
