Heart words as a form of sight word recognition has been the best growth. Even my lowest students where able to identify and read without decoding the sight word “said” 🥰

A student whom I’d been working with all of last year had an epiphany moment while reading. Something just clicked for him. He understood that what he was doing was actually reading. His face lit up. He kept reading and was so proud to do so. I’m so glad I got to witness it.

We have been supporting by assessing and progress monitoring our sped kiddos.

Teachers administer benchmark scores, intervention compiles data by identifying a composite score in the red. Students are grouped for intervention based on this score. Intervention takes over progress monitoring on DIBLES for these intervention students every two weeks.
