The difference in early and middle adulthood is fairly drastic in that middle aged adults seem far more grounded in what they want versus early adults. Early adults feel as though they know exactly what they want and have a clear idea as to what they want, however middle aged adults question that and question why they have perceived life that way in the past.

The people in Early Adulthood put far more weight onto how they are perceived than those in Middle Adulthood. The younger adults are very conscientious of the eyes on them in society and give validation to them. Older, or in this case middle aged individuals, don't necessarily care as much. They maintain their appearance and their character, but they don't mind how they are perceived because it is who they are.

Middle aged people tend to be more centered than Early adults. In the cognitive domain Middle Aged persons tend to be more reflective than Early Adults. In the Physical domain, well Middle aged people are more saggy in terms of every aspect from skin to height. In the Socio-emotional aspect Middle aged people tend to accept who they are and embrace it versus Early Adults trying to hold their emotions back because of societal standards.
