This book is probably the best book I have ever read. I'm not a big reader but this book was exiting. I like this book because even though everyone was confused about the maze Thomas pushed through and made more progress in less than a month than the group did in 5 years. I enjoyed how each character had different strengths and that's what made them a strong group. Thomas arrives to the Maze in a metal cage not remembering anything from his past life. Everyone calls him greenie when he arrives at the maze. Chuck is the only one that will talk to him because he was the last greenie. A greenie is the new maze prisoner that arrives every month. Thomas is told by Chuck that everyone has a job. Thomas saw the runners heading into the maze and he wanted to do that. Chuck said it was the most dangerous job but Thomas didn't care. He becomes a runner and he learns more about the maze. We learns about what the changing is and what the grievers are. Ben went through the changing because he got stung so he got banished.Teresa comes to the maze with a not saying she was the last one. She was the first girl in the maze. After that everything went south and the doors wouldn't close. The grievers came into their hideout and took one person. They decided that if they were going to live they needed to find their way out which they knew hoe to do it because of exit Thomas found earlier in the book. They went but some tried to stay behind. Setting: The setting was the maze which the characters in the book called the Glade.
Conflicts: Figuring out how to get out of the maze, Figuring out how to remember their pasts, and figuring out why only one girl was sent with a not that said "This is the last one".
