Hi Barbara. In my opinon, your review is very interesting, since you demonstrate that you know a lot about this film, especially about the plot, since it is understood quite well who are the protagonists and the antagonists. With few words you are able to make known what this movie is about. What's more, you dont go over the details, which leaves me quite expectant.
On the other hand, being very honest, I must say that I do not have much knowledge about the subject itself, actually, I would consider myself uneducated about it. However, it seems to me that this film would be a good opportunity to open my cultural baggage.
Bye!

Hi Barbara! I´ve never seen that movie but it sounds great. I didn´t it know that was based on a novel and I think it would be interesting to read it before watching the movie so I can compare the way that the plot is developed in both the movie and the book. A relevant fact that you mentioned is that the film was nominated on the Oscars and Golden Globes, which allows me to realize the quality of the film that you are presenting, motivating me to watch it.

I love watching movies with different contexts, so Memoirs of Geisha would be a good choice for me, because as you said the plot invites you to get to know new cultures as Japanese. In addition to that, I think movies based on the oriental culture are not very common, so it would be interesting to try new plots and give them a chance.

Thanks for your recommendation; I’ll definitely watch it soon.

Bye!

Valentina Galleguillo
