I'm wondering what the conversation has been around having students take the initial ELPAC and summative ELPAC within close testing date ranges.
For example, if I have a new comer enroll in February and take the initial ELPAC, what is the rationalization in having them take the summative only a couple months later. The likelihood they will show any meaningful, substantial growth is limited.
Placing unnecessary testing on students already going through such an impactful transition seems unnecessary.

I'm curious as to whether native speakers have been given the ELPAC to determine what is considered "proficient". I question whether or not our native English speakers would be able to score a "4" on the ELPAC. Just curious about what that process of determining proficiency looks like
