It allows students to create a bigger framework of their knowledge by applying it more to the real world. In this theory students receive opportunities to leaders in their learning and by this feel motivated to continue their improvement on the content knowledge. Interaction with environment and self exploration is a huge part of physical education and physical activity. After all, Many of the decisions made in PE are based on the way our bodies can react to the environment and the people that are in that environment. I think this constructivist approach creates a good foundation for students to have a lifetime a physical activity. 

]]> 2016-12-01 06:53:51 UTC https://padlet.com/madisonnfoster/93nscn2kija3/wish/141018550 madisonnfoster https://padlet.com/madisonnfoster/93nscn2kija3/wish/141018597 Have students design their own games within the scope of a regular lesson… and I love the idea of extending it as a project complete with standards and agreed rules!  In the past, I handed groups random pieces of equipment (ex: hula hoop, tennis ball, a base, and a noodle) and they had about 15 minutes to design a game [loved by all].  It would be cool to have upper elementary or middle school students mapping/ planning out an obstacle course that focuses on specific skills (ex: jumping/leaping; upper body strength/ etc.)
