Memorial Day is almost like the official start of summer- when pools open, people camp, Youth baseball season opens... but do you know what it really is about?  We celebrate Memorial Day to remember the soldiers that have died in battle. In “MEMORY“-ial Day, there is part of the word memory in that word. We want to remember the memory of those who fought for our country. 

In the Bible, Joshua lead the Israelites. God told Joshua to tell the people to take a stone from the Jordan River as “memory”/ memorial of how God led them to the promised land. They used these stones to remind themselves of God’s faithfulness. 

Can you draw a rock or paint a rock and think of a time God helped you and was faithful to you. Put that rock somewhere you can see it. When you see it remind yourself how God has taken care of you in the past. Think of a memory of God’s faithfulness to you.
