From teacher --> It is necessary to provide ample time at the beginning of the school year to explicitly teach and practice routines and structures with students. It is also imperative to have an opportunity to review material from the previous year so students are prepared to begin new material. When we jump immediately into curriculum it makes it immensely challenging to set up necessary structures. The routines are essential for maximizing learning throughout the entire year.
