Students will be selected based on 1. teacher recommendation and 2. referral data, therefore there will not be publicity to the students. I will send and email with the description of the group to all teachers and ask them to fill out the forms. Then, I will send out a second group of emails to all the teachers of students who have had referrals and have them fill out the recommendation. Once the students have been chosen, their advisory teacher will be notified that they will miss Advisory once a week to attend the small group counseling sessions. The students will know they've been chosen because I will write them a letter and give it to them.
