Ever since I was little I have been in an environment where it was never to talk about how you feel. However this is not the case in the real world where you have to be able to communicate to people how you feel. This is my journey to become better at communicating, sharing, and dealing with emotions.

January was a bit rocky getting this project going. I had a tough time recognizing my weak points. However I also recognized that I should have a support system. So I reached out to my good friend and we set up a meeting every Sunday where we both will talk about how we have been feeling that week and why.
More to come!

Hello fine people! I have big news on this whole being more open with my emotions project. I have a date. You heard it here first people. She is also an ROTC Cadet like myself and is a public health major which is very close to health promotion/wellness! I was sure someone was playing a joke on me. So I have asked her on a date and was coached through it by Becca and Libby! Thanks ladies it went very well!

Ah Springtime.... If only Wisconsin acted like it was actually spring that would be great am I right? Anyway the weekly coffee updates with my friend Lisa have been going swimmingly and I also have continued to see the ROTC Cadet I mentioned in my February update! Surprisingly I asked her out, and she said yes. This news shocked everyone I am closely associated with as they didn't see it coming in the slightest. I am very happy with this behavior change project because it has been a huge help and made my overall quality of life better! It was tough at first but now that I'm more comfortable being honest with myself and my emotions I have much less stress in my life from holding everything in.
