1) The play starts with the narrator reading a list of 7 things worth living for.

2) It gives it an innocent perspective. He's clearly very young, which gives the play a childish informal language.

3) They have a mixed relationship
They boy talks about being hugged and swung around if his father is in the mood (Barry White).
But there are also signs of a distant relation.

4) The play has many locations. They are at the school, outside the fathers office, at the hospital.
We would say upper middle class in the 50's.

5) It's a 1.st person narrator from the boys perspective.
It gives us a personal look at the matter.

He has to put his beloved dog down, at the vet.

You don't get all the answers, to why the mother tries to kill herself. And it makes it more sad, to hear her sons version of the experience. It's interresting to hear the story from a 7 year olds point of view.

Not very good. The father dosen't talk to his son, he dosen't explain to him whats happening with his mother, he just goes in to his study and puts on a song, so the boy knows that he shouldn't go in to his dad. They don't talk.

9 november 1987 - at home, at school, at the vet, at the hospital, in the car. They must have some money, since they can effort to take the dog to the vet, have a car and a piano, the father has a study and they can effort to take the mother to the hospital twice.

It's a 1. person narrator (the boy) - it's his point of view.
