If you like World War II  book then number the stars would be a good one.  My favorite part in the book was when they were hiding in the boat and dogs came to snif them out... “was it dark in the hiding place” I liked this part the best because it gets you nervous and really thinking. I liked the book so much because it really tells you what is going on and gives you a good idea on the situation and can make you fell like you were there. I really like this book because when you look at the cover it really does give you an idea of what the book is about. One funny thing in this story is when they are talking about a birthmark shaped like a duck , “shaped like a duck”? I think that this book can give you a good laugh at times.  I also liked how it was about a “troubled teen”. I think that this series is perfect for 6th through 8th graders. If you like books about life in middle school and birthdays this is the book for you. They had prayed that this nightmare was over and that they could go back to normal life. They thought they were going crazy for thinking all they want is to go to school and be normal. They started to worrie and really wanted to get out of hiding but they new they couldn’t do that until everything was over. Annemarie and Ellen begin to believe that it is over as they have spent almost a full week hiding. Once everyone in hiding has discussed leaving hiding we made the final disitoin the plan was that mom will peek and see if we are clear and if so we will leave and get everything and everybody and try our best to find a way out of Copenhagen. It is the next day and we are about to being the plan. Mom looked out and sees nothing but houses and building boomed and on the ground. There are only a few houses still up.
