It is very identifiable to see someone who is angry or upset. It is usually because of frustration, hostility, and displeasure towards a situation. Many times angry comes from the inability of certain individuals to express themselves. I find that when my children get angry it usually because of frustration or something they are unwilling to do.

With the increasing use of cellphones, tablets and any use of social media, many individuals find ways to self entertain themselves. When these aren't available they will suggest they are bored with nothing to do. This is easy to spot because of the lack of interest this emotion displays. You can find boredom in a student who is either uninterested in a subject, or has mastered the content and is ready to move on.

The emotion of sadness comes with an overwhelming expression of unhappiness or grief. This can come from the loss of a loved one or a continuous feeling of depression. Many children are sad when there objective collides with and authoritative figure. This expression will be used to show a sign of discontent in relationship towards their feelings. As a counselor this is a nonverbal cue that I will observe closely to endure it isn't a reoccurring feeling that may lead to something worse.

It is easy to notice someone that is expressing this emotion because of the behavior they display. It can come from verbal and physical interaction.
Confused

The state of being confused comes from the lack of understanding. This nonverbal cue is due to uncertainty about information that is trying to be processed or intended to comprehend. This nonverbal cue not only has an effect on the person displaying the signal, but also has an affect on the person it may be intended for. An example of this would be how a presenter would receive this cue from someone in his or her audience. For me it would give me a lack of confidence in what I was presenting and make me feel either angry or confused.
