We have been working with white charcoal highlights on black paper and experiencing working in the negative. Since we have this cold day and cannot work on this project in class, will be adding an extra class to our due date. The new due date for this project is: January 27

I found a video of the artist, Sally Maxwell, that we looked at briefly at the beginning of this scratchboard unit talking about her studio.

Jazza is an online artist that has some interesting art videos and I was happy to see he has made one about scratchboard. I also found a video of an artist talking about their choice of values using crosshatching.
