I think this seeks to define love as an act that causes us to blind ourselves to the true nature of others. The speaker in the song clearly once was in love with the girl, but now he cannot stand her, apparently due to her vanity and her desire to totally change him. This song focused on defining the transformational aspect of love - how it stops the speaker in the song in his tracks and simply amazes him, namely how he is amazed by the woman and how he is amazed by how much he needs her. She also is making a statement that love also takes a certain level of effort to be put in, and you have to choose to love someone. She also says that they are not perfect, but they will learn from their mistakes. And really, love is a learning experience. But nevertheless, it is still a wonderful part of life and certainly is beautiful.

Basically in this song Strait is just proving that he will always love her and that she will have the world.
