         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Schizophrenia is linked to an increased likelihood of developing a serious heart condition. </li><li>Physical inactivity and long periods of time sitting has been proven to increase our likelihood for developing a serious heart condition. Physical activity and exercise not only reduces the likelihood of developing heart conditions in the long term but has been proven to have a positive impact on our mental health and self esteem.</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>When living with Schizophrenia, psychological and physical symptoms including the effects of medication can cause barriers to our ability and motivation to exercise. That does not mean that it is in any way an impossible goal. There are many ways of increasing our motivation and confidence in exercise no matter how small these changes are to begin with.</li></ul>]]></description>
