1-لأن الخلية تصبح ثقيلة,لاتسمح بدخول المواد المغذية وخروج الفضلات بمعدل كاف.

س-استنتج. هل ضخامة حجم بعض المخلوقات الحية-مثل الفيلة وشجر الخشب الأحمر-يعود إلى احتوائها على خلايا ضخمة جداَ أم أن معظم خلاياها لها حجم عادي؟ فسر إجابتك

2-ذات حجم عادي,بسبب أعداد الخلايا تكون كثيرة  وأحجامها تناسب حجم المخلوق الحي.

2-كلما كانت الخلية أصغر,تستطيع المحافظة على بقائها أكثر.
