I currently live right outside West Chester with my best friends from high school. I have lived in the Chester County area all my life so I am very familiar with it. I love going to escape rooms and I also work as a bartender at a local sports bar so I enjoy making new drinks for my customers to enjoy. I am also an avid coffee lover and going to Starbucks every day is part of my daily routine. This summer I did not do a lot but one of my favorite trips was going to Pittsburgh for a beer festival with my friends and exploring the city and restaurants there because it was my first time in Pittsburgh. I learned a lot about life from this pandemic. The pandemic was very hard for me because my job had shut down and I could not see my parents because of my living situation; but it did make me cherish the time I did have with my friends and family. I currently work for a production company which I have been with for almost a year and a half. I love hanging out with my friends and family and traveling. Going to the beach is my favorite thing to do. This summer I worked, went to the beach and visited my dad in California. This pandemic has taught me that gratitude is the most important thing to have and practice. I am looking forward to having a routine and socializing again while also really appreciating having in person classes. Hello! My name is Frederick Shegog and I am blessed to be an honor student here at WCU on a full academic scholarship. Outside of school, I am blessed to be a person in recovery of 5 years. I travel the country keynoting national conferences and speaking at colleges. I do through this my LLC (www.themessagellc.com). I started this after my first year at Delaware County Community College because I was tired of seeing overdoses and struggles with mental health. This semester I am blessed to be booked with 6 gigs and using school as a way to uplift my company. My wife is also in recovery of 6 years. I am a community volunteer, speak at treatment centers, and am also a very flawed Christian. I am a sports nut who watches Skip and Shannon Sharpe daily (The Show Undisputed). Every day during the semester I do homework besides Sundays I watch football and all the shows from sunrise to sundown. Overall I am using my speaking and education to sit in rooms of policy to make changes. As I go higher in life I am learning it is all about policy and how things are funded. I am extremely grateful to be in this class and look forward to working with you all. If you would ever like to attend any of my speaking events let me know!
