I am intersted in continuing my research on Social-Emotional Learning in literacy instruction. I am curious to know how implementing specific, research-driven, books will positively impact students' emotions and social interactions.

I would like to continue my research on using multicultural literacy to develop student empathy and understanding of diverse cultures, but am willing to focus on one aspect of this! Or in my research, I discovered a lot about the influence multicultural literacy has on social-emotional learning, so I might focus on that instead!

My research focus was on discourse during interactive read alouds. The focus was on increased dialogic talk and questioning strategies that can encourage students to elaborate on their responses. While I enjoyed my topic, my research may be more helpful in supporting another topic. I love the idea of increasing student dialogue, but my research may be more helpful in building background than the actual study.

My research focused on finding strategies for emergent bilingual students to support them in vocabulary knowledge/development. Most of my research talked about being intentional with vocabulary and how we allow students to use their languages in the classroom. Vocabulary for these students is all about making connections. I would be open to continuing this, or working with someone on another topic but thinking about the multilingual learners through that research.

My research focus was on banned books and the impacts on students! My exact question research question was: How are mass book bans in the United States preventing student success in elementary schools? Most of my research shows that students are negatively impacted, but some of my research related to parents and their views about book bans. Some of my research focuses on the authors of books which are censored. I even looked into the classroom libraries and public libraries in relation to availability of books. I even looked at how banned books impact history and curricula. I really liked this topic and wanted to continue the research!!

I would like to focus my research on multisensory reading programs and how they can improve students reading abilities for students who have reading disabilities. This is different from my previous research topic as my previous research was too specific resulting in a lack of targeted research articles. I am really interested in learning more about multisensory reading programs and would love to be able to implement them in with my own students.
