The Colosseum was built after Rome captured the city of Jerusalem, and the wealth and enslaved people they captured were used to assist the construction. The Colosseum could hold up to 80,000 people, and was used to host gladiator matches, animal hunts, and could even be flooded to host miniature naval battles. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Acqua Claudia was</p><p>69 km (42 mi) long aqua duct it had a 0.2 slope that means for every 1 mile it drops 6 in. It brought 2,200 leaders of water per second to Rome. Emperor Caligula started it in 38 AD finished it in 52 AD but in 71 AD Vespasian restored it, in 81ad Titus rebuilt it again. They even still use it today They have piping on top of it so we don't have to build anything else. It was made of pozzolanic concrete. It was built to bring water to the city of Rome.</p>]]></description>

The Aurelian Walls were built by Probus the older Roman Empire Aurelian. The Aurelian Walls were built to defend the capital from the threat of invasions by the German populations that were pressing on the borders of the empire.&nbsp; The Aurelian Walls were used for a barrier to protect the Roman empire. The Aurelian Walls were made of concrete faced with brick which were about 12 ft thick.</p>]]></description>
