That was the day I met my BFF ….. Or my old worst enemy?

I was shuffling around in my room for a book. I NEEDED it RIGHT NOW. Why did my book disappear? Inside was my plans for the future that I was writing in since I was six. I was just about to go to college, lose my old life. I just wanted to take it with me! And then, like on cue, my mom said we had to go to the airport! Now every second counted, and I wished for a miracle. There was no way I could lose this. I wanted time, all the time in the world, to get this last item. The one place I hadn’t checked was my closet, so I ran to it! I want to spare no time, so I threw it open, and in the corner, was box. A box, that could be the key! I took it, and what I saw almost killed me... there was a wormhole to the unknown? As I got closer, a voice creeped down my spine, “All the time in the world you say, I could fix that.” As I looked behind, a shadow, long and slender, was slowly moistening and turning real. Its body was malformed, with deep, blank sunken eyes, and was towering over me with its fleshy, rotting body with skin that lookes to small for its bones that were charred. Slowly, my room filled with them, to the point I could barely breathe, as if my heart wasn’t beating out of my chest, and then, in the corner of my eye, I saw it. Time had stopped, and so did the universe. “Is this what you wanted, what you needed? They slowly pushed me into the wormhole, and no one was there to help, no one but me. Time had stopped, no college, no family, no worries. And I dropped through the portal, into their world, ravaged and burned. And where were they, they were in my room, in my world... all of them, and all because of me. 

It was a cool and quiet morning in Blackwood the only person out was an average height girl with jet black hair and kind brown eyes she was sweeping the porch when a shriek of fright brook out from inside the house Elizabeth riddle the girl’s aunt was the one who let the fatal cries ‘THE DAY IS HERE.THE DAY IS HERE’ she yelled Tom riddle her husband came running down the stairs ‘what is it darling’ he said in a soothing voice ‘the day of Mala’s birthday’ she wearied the girl now stood close to the door for her name was mala Ravenclaw it was a strange name but it was it was her late parents name they choses for her she had kept it. ‘Don’t worry dear we will just skip like every year’ he said ‘no this year is different she is turning 11’she had a fearful glance in her eye ‘oh the letter’ said tom. What was so important that the looked as they were to die of fear. Mala stood closer to the door now they had always treated her like garbage why would they change now unless it had something to do with the letter her uncle mentioned she was so lost in her thoughts room today’ mala rolled her eyes her “room” was so small she couldn’t even turn in it. She went inside and almost without thinking said ‘what letter were you talking about ’her aunt and uncle looked horrified ‘how long you were standing there?’ he asked ‘WHO CARES’ yelled her aunt ‘GO TO YOUR ROOM’ mala walked up the stairs and went in to her room their daughter Darla who was so big that she made an elephant look like the size of an ant stood in the door way ‘What did you do? ‘she asked with a cruel smile ‘nothing mala said something about my birthday’ Darla did a cruel laugh ‘see the very existents of you makes a person cry your parents were idiots if they wanted to have you’ suddenly mala felt a surge of power rushing through her. Darla could insult her all she wanted but she will never talk about her parents that way her eye were no longer dark brown but now electric blue Mala’s hands went in to fist a blue fire started to form around them and said ‘you take that back ‘she growled ‘OK OK I TAKE IT BACK I’M SORRY ‘her aunt and uncle were now running up the stairs ‘what the heck’said tom mala fist were now longer on fire and her eyes were brown aging she was about feel the wrath of aunt and uncle but instead of the look of anger the had fear after what seem like ages 

 

Tom finally spoke ‘go to room DO NOT COME OUT’ he said mala went back to her room he shut the door behind her 

 

 

HEXSIDE INTERNATIONAL

It was 8:53 and mala was lying in bed she had just ate the wilted salad that her aunt had given her when a letter had come through her open window she picked it up from the ground and saw it was address to her she opened it and read that it was from a place called Hexside International school for young witches and wizards she knew this was just a dumb joke from Darla she was about to throw it out the an owl flutter on her window on turned into a woman with fiery red hair   mala was speechless but before she could do anything  the woman said ‘it is best if you do not throw it away I am nova figg  you can call me nova how are you mala?’mala finally managed to say ‘how do you know my name’ to her surprise the woman just laughed ‘people don’t ask that as the first question your different’ suddenly the door burst open and someone flick on the light ‘what is going on in here’ her uncle said standing in the door way then he saw the woman ‘who are you’ he asked bitterly ‘nova figg’ said the woman as though she dealt with this every day ‘you must be Mala’s uncle well I should be taking mala now she see you in the summer’ now wait just one min…’ he began to say but the woman reached in the pocket and withdrew a long wooden stick and pointed it at him tom yelped and crashed in to the wall. Mala was very confused first she got this letter then she meet nova then her uncle is scared of a stick ‘what is going on ‘asked mala ‘well read the letter’ said nova mala looked down at letter and read aloud dear mala Jane Ravenclaw you have here by accepted in to Hexside international for young witches and wizards you will need to bring 2 stander size cauldrons, wand, school books and if you wish an on animal that is less than 2 feet tall and 2 feet wide yours truly nova figg ‘I am going’ mala said quietly ‘NO YOU ARE NOT GOING WE WILL PUT A STOP TO THIS YOUR FATHER WAS FREAK AND I KNEW YOU WOULD BE TO THEN THEY HAD TO GET THEM SELVS KILLED AND BAM WE LANDED WITH YOU’ yelled tom ‘like a great non mac like your self is going to stop her ‘said nova ‘what’s a non mac’ asked mala ‘not a magic person’ mala nodded ‘well we need to get you packed ‘said nova ‘I don’t have much to pack just clothes’ mala said ‘oh don’t worry and we are behind schedule’ said nova looking down at her watch ‘it will be quicker if I pack’ with that said she waved the wooden stick and everything went inside a trunk she brought with her mala speechless ‘well come one’ said nova going outside she waved the stick once aging 2 broom’s appeared out of thin air ‘hop on’ said nova with a small smile mala mounted the broom somehow she knew what to do  mala grabbed the handle and pushed off the ground she now hovered in the air she pointed the handle up and sliced through the air ‘wow most people need help flying a broom’ nova said ‘come back here’ yelled Mala’s aunt and uncle mala and nova went higher mala thinking to herself if this is a dream she never wants to wake up

Roots and vines and shrubs

My mom tells me to clean it

But I don’t, I just shrug.

My room seems like a garden

With flowers and stems and petals

If I were to join a botany contest,

I would win a gold medal.

My room is covered in leaves

Roots and vines and leaves.

Some people think 

That I live in a tree.

But in my garden, it gets so lonely.

So I think I just might leave.
