S - I want to fix my grades from my disappointing performance in the first long test.

M - I can measure how good I am doing by seeing how well I can do the next homeworks, quizzes, and long tests.

A - I think I can come back since I've been in this type of situation before and I know how to do this well. I quit from the varsity team to allow me to study.

R - This goal is very relevant to my current situation because I don't want to fail a term this school year. It's really important for me to do well since my senior high application may depend on my grades this school year.

T - I think I can achieve this before the term ends. Well, I only have the term to accomplish this so a few weeks may be needed for me to accomplish this.

Conceptual Understanding

For me, the most challenging thing during this term was definitely the Long Test on Polynomial Functions. I didn't listen during the start of the term which caused me to lag behind my classmates. It gave me a horrible score that slapped my face, telling me to wake up. I knew I had to change this, so I did my best for the next few topics and got better scores. Then, the Math Exam came up and I got to familiarize myself with the topic during the review session and Cerebry. I didn't get a good score, but I didn't fail so I consider that a win. How I got through the stress behind this task is by keeping my composure, and listening in class. By doing both of this, it helps you can climb out of the hole you dug yourself in.

A misconception I had during this term was how solving for the zeroes of a polynomial function worked. I didn't know what to do after getting something with a remainder of zero and this caused me to do horrible in the first long test. This often happens whenever there's a problem asking to find a zero of a function is. I got to solve this problem when I learned how to properly find the zeroes by comparing my long test with other people's long test. I learned that I should factor if I can factor the answer from synthetic division. I also listened more carefully during the review session for the long test, and doing the Cerebry so I know how the basics work. This has caused me to pass the Math Exam.

My Best Work

I think my performance on the Long Test on Statistics is my greatest work of the term. It felt like my life was on the line during this test and I got a perfect. I was unsure on some questions, but I remained strong. Before the test, I was doing very well on Statistics as this was something I can do well at. This long test was not just a perfect, but it was the reason why I came back from my disappointing first long test performance. It showed me that I have what it takes to be smart and I should utilize it.

Collaborative Work

Because there was no groupworks for the second term, my collaborative works were asking my seatmates on how something worked. I kept on asking Gabino on why this thing makes this thing this and so on. This has enabled me to get a better understanding of the topic. I also asked people like Alijah on I missed when I accidentally zoned off. This helped me a lot on my effort to fix what I did wrong.
