The African Wild Dog can be found in sub-Saharan Africa, with the largest concentration in Tanzania and Northern Mozambique. The wild dogs live in packs, which can vary from 10 to 40 dogs. A monogamous mated pair usually dominates each pack. African wild dogs are also very social, helping the sick and weak, sharing food, and "talking" to each other through vocalizations and touch.

Human interaction, loss of habitat, and the spreading of diseases like rabies are the main threats to African wild dogs. Many farmers shoot and poison African wild dogs because they blame the species for loss of livestock. Average Length: 19 inches
Average Weight: 5.5 pounds

This penguin species is the only one found north of the Equator! They are also one of the smallest penguin species and have many natural predators, both on the land and in the sea. 

The Galapagos penguin is threatened by pollution and climate change. Storms like El Nino have wiped out many of these birds and decreased the numbers of their prey bye bye save some lives.
