Put your name at the top of a pad. This is individual work, no groups. How would you define truth now? Consider subjective truth, objective proof, imperfects perceptions, varying perspectives, and that which is not easily verifiable by our senses. A thorough, full credit definition will reflect the nuances of defining truth by correctly using language we have used in class (objective, subjective, perceptions, perspectives, senses) as part of your definition, as well as your own original ideas and thoughts.

Truth is what is real, what is factual. But sometimes our very real thoughts, feelings, and opinions do not line up with the reality that is outside ourselves. These "truths" are subjective truths and while they are very real (to us), they do not always line up with the universal, unchanging, hard facts of life. The facts that that are beyond ourselves. These truths are objective, capital T Truths.

Truth is backed by facts, which can also be referred to as objective truth. As humans, we are capable of having our own ideas of the world that contribute to how we think, feel, and act throughout our day-to-day lives. Our personal "truths" are known to be subjective, which may not align with the facts that are solidly displayed and known to be true in our world today. These objective truths are truths that cannot be changed.

Truth is real. Individuals often believe their interpretation of truth as the whole/complete picture of truth, giving it the highest authority. However, truth can be objective, based on universally accepted standards, or subjective, influenced by personal opinions and perspectives. Our society is increasingly valuing their own perceptions (subjective truth) over what is real (objective truth,) which is dangerous.

Truth is the foundation of everything we believe, say, and do. When we make a decision, we are making it based off of what we know to be true. We were created with a longing to trust something, so we naturally find something to claim as Truth. Our past experiences and worldview both have an influence on Subjective truth. Subjective truths may be different for each individual because they are based on their own experience and opinion. On the other hand, Objective truths are universally known as facts. These are things that are true regardless of our personal opinions and beliefs.

Truth is something we know to be accurate because it is consistently correct. However, subjective truth is greatly affected by an individual's perspective and senses. Therefore, it can’t always be trusted because as individuals we do not always perceive things correctly. As humans, our senses and emotions can deceive us because our perspectives are constantly shifting. Objective truth on the other hand is something that will always be true. No matter how you perceive something objective truth will always be reliable. It isn’t based on opinion and, therefore is unchanging and true.

Truth is an absolute (not relative) fact that we know to be correct or accurate. This definition would be closer to objective truth, which is NOT based on a person's perspective or feeling. The opposite of objective truth is subjective truth. This truth is based on the person's perspective and opinion. It is important to note that for both objective and subjective truth that people's access to truth is through their perceptions and senses. While it may seem counterintuitive, society is flocking towards subjective truth. People don't want to follow rules that have already been set for themselves (objective truth). They rather make their rules to follow even if it doesn't always make sense (subjective truth). Our society doesn't want to be told what the truth is, they want to go out and make the truth up as they go as if it was some game.

Truth is an objective fact about reality. This obviously means that it is no subjective belief held by one individual. Even if an entire social movement held a perception about something, doesn't mean it is true. Truth is most commonly identified by being completely consistent. It is also something that we are currently fighting for. We are defending the "common sense" truth that has been traditionally adopted by families but is now being attacked by social/cultural institutions that wish to change basic truths into a circus.

Truth is something that is real, accurate, and can be backed up by facts. It involves the accuracy of things in relation to objective reality. Truth is objective, meaning that it implies being solely based on facts and universal truths, not relying on individual perspectives or perceptions. Subjective truth is influenced by individual perceptions, senses, and opinions. (For example, vanilla is the best ice cream flavor).

Truth exists in two forms, relative truth, and absolute. Relative truth is defined as being true by your perception. Relative truth is based on a subjective standard unique to the individual, and their persepctive. On the other side is absolute truth. Absolute truth is the reality of something beyond your perception. It is completely independent of human observation. Because all human observation is grounded in subjectivity, objective truth must be ground in something else unchanging and unwavering. And their is a fine line in between subjective and objective were we hold subjective truth to be absolute because of our limited knowledge of the complexity and the actual being of our state of existence, like the previously held objective truth that the earth was believed to be flat and the center of the solar system, which in reality was a subjective truth. But because we can never fully break free from our fallible human perception we must have trust in what we hold to be objective, unwavering truth, as a result of the combination of our perspective and perception,to exist as we trust to know it as. Objective, absolute, always true truth, non-dependent on anything, but a woven integral part of reality.

Truth is what God created as real. We don't get to define what is true and what is fact. That is God's job. Our emotions and opinions are subjective and constantly change. Because of this we cannot trust them and depend on them to guide us through life. Objective truth never changes. It is reliable and consistent because God created it to be that way. Without objective truth we would be lost as a people and the world would be chaos, because truth brings order.

There are two kinds of truth: The first is an objective truth, which is a consistent truth about an object that remains correct despite whatever an individual's perception or senses may tell them about the object. The other kind is a subjective truth, and that is a truth that is based on how people feel about certain subjects. Subjective truths are formed by an individual's unique perspective, experience, and senses, even though those things can be incredibly untrustworthy. While both kinds of truths are essential to daily life, individuals must practice discernment to not mistake subjective truths for facts, or objective truths for opinions.

Subjective truth is truth that is based on opinion, however, it is often perceived as objective truth with tragic consequences. Objective truth is truth that is not based on opinion and is true for everyone whether they believe it is or not. Often times objective truth is based on what we can perceive with our senses because our senses are considered reliable and can be experienced by multiple people. Determining the difference between objective truth and subjective truth can be hard because people have different perspectives and perceptions that distort the way they view the world. This leaves even objective truths to be questioned.

However, people's perspectives can lead to different "truths," which are kind of like alternate realities for every person.
