I found this picture to be interesting because as I learned in chapter 1 the four important parts of management. Organizing, Planning, Influencing and controlling have helped me get a better understanding as to how important it is to apply this four things not only at work, school, but also at home. Itinspires me to be more organized in the things I do daily.

I picked this picture because planning is very important. Whether the planning
occurs at work, school or at home. It is always good to have a plan in order to achieve a goal. Planning is applied to everything we do in life, in my case, Iuse it with my husband. We plan things out in order to achieve what we want.

I learned about authority in chapter 2. Fayol defined authority as the right to give orders and the power to exact obedience. This picture inspires me because when we think of authority the first thing that comes to mind is a police officer or a judge. This picture inspires me to be the best authority at my house and to make sure my son obeys the rules his father and I give him.

Chapter 2 talks about social responsibility which is the managerial obligation to take
action that protects the welfare of society as well as the interests of the organization. I liked this picture because it goes with the concept of social responsibility, and how it helps me apply it to everyday life. As a person I can buy a product that not only benefits me and my interests but can also help
the world become a better place by recycling.

Ethics is a very important and fundamental part of management practices. I liked this
picture because in order to do the right thing ethically we have to examine the
issue and decide what is right and what is wrong. This helps me have a better
understanding of ethics and will help me apply this to when I get a job.

Chapter 4 talks about gender diversity, that's why I chose the picture of Yahoo CEO
Marissa Mayer because she is a perfect example that woman can do it too. This
motivates me to become anything I want without thinking that being a woman is a
disadvantage in the work field.

Gender diversity is an advantage for a company. Woman are just as efficient as men and
can bring so much to any company. This helps me in the everyday life think that
I am just as equal as my husband or any other man.

Chapter 5 talks about improving communication. I
like this picture because over the years communication has changed in so many ways, people communicate through texts, emails, as well as phone calls. This applies to everyday life and which option we choose to communicate with others.

Chapter 5 talks about adjusting to a new
culture. I liked this picture because it shows different cultures. Adjusting to a different culture can be very hard for a lot of people but easy for others.

In my personal life I have adapted to the culture here in the United States and I absolutely love it. It is hard at first but with time anything gets easy.

In chapter 5 it talks about repatriation which happens when an employee is brought
to their home country to work again. This would be very hard for me to return
back home since I am so used to the system here and I absolutely love it here.
I guess adaptation would have to play a big role in order for me to adapt to my
hometown once again. It is something I don't ever look forward to.

Chapter 5 talks about domestic organiztions which operate whithin a single country. As
a costumer I rather buy goods domestically than internationally since it takes
so much longer to receive,I prefer domestic.

Chapter 8 talks about decision, which is a choice made between two or more options. I
have learned so much and I am applying this to my personal life in every way I
can. The purpose of a decision is to make the right choice although there are
times where we have to take hard decisions.

Brain storming is when a group of peole think, and valuate the ideas in order to
choose the one with most benefit. Brainstorming has helped my family plan our
summer vacation. We now know what time of the year to travel, destination, as well

Chapter 9 talks about the power a buyer has over an industry. I chose this picture
because in the cartoon Spongebob Square Pants, The Krusty Krab is so much more
successful than the Chum bucket. Costumers have made this restaurant a
successful one, personally and as a costumer I always try to spend my money at
Chick-Fil-A. This restaurant has the best costumer service in my humble
opinion.

Chapter 11 talks about responsibility as to the obligation of performing an assignated
task. Whether it is to clean up our acts, taking full responsibility for our
actions is very important in my life. This is why I like this picture because
it shows that if we make a mess we have to clean it up. In the workforce I hope
I can be as responsible as possible and be a better me.

Job description is a list of specific activities that must be perfomed by whoever
holds the positon. I chose this picture because those are importants things to
take in consideration when applying for a job position. Once I graduate I plan
to look for a job and hopefully will enform myself better by reading the job

Chapter 18 talks about values. Values is described as a belief of a person or social group in which they have an
emotional investment. This chapter talks about the different values in life. I liked this picture because it represents the things we value the most. I have learned to value things and people who their best to help society.

Chapter12 talks about aptitud, achievement, vocacional interest, and personality test.
wthose are the different types of tests performed at work. I picked this
picture because taking a test is so frustrating and the cartoon's face says it
all. Personally I try to prepare myself a little more than I used to in order
to at least make a good grade if I'm not able to make a perfect score.

Lecture is a form of transmitting information to an audience. I liked this picture because the person looks kind of boring and thats what I hope I do not do if I ever had to give a lecture. Lecture is about informing but in a fun and

Chapter 14 talks about feedback. Feedback is the destination's reaction to a message. I
have learned to make sure I let everyone know what I think or feel about
something they do or say. It is very important to give feedback so that the
person or workplace knows what's going on.

Chapter 17 shows to have respect for team members. I think this is very important in
the everyday life because without respect we have nothing. I hope that in any

Chapter 15 talks about directive behavior. Directive behavior is aimed at telling
followers what to do and how to do it. In this chapter I learned to listen to
those with authorities. Hopefully whoever is in charge at the place I will work
will have good Directive behavior. I liked this picture because the cartoon is
telling the other what to do.

The acceptance stage mentioned in chapter 15 is something I can very much relate.
As a human I make mistakes and misunderstand things, that's why is so important to talk things out and fix any misunderstandings.

I liked this picture because it reflects unfairness. Chapter 16 talks about the
equity theory and how inequity can lead to changes in behavior. This chapter teaches me that if there is unfairness present at work or anywhere to be the
best I can and not do anything negative as to decrease my work level.

I liked this picture because it shows people in a circle and the ones out seems
like they want to be accepted. Chapter 16 talks about social needs and how
individuals desire to be accepted. Personally I have learned that in order to
have a good working environment it is good for others to like who you are. It
is nice to work with good team members that will have your back.

I liked this picture because it shows a man inspecting a house. Chapter 21 talksabout inspection and how managers believe that if you wanted a good quality
product many inspectors had to be hired. I apply this in any way I can because it is important to get the best product out there. Whether I am buying clothes
or a car I have to make sure the quality is good and that my husband approves it too.

organization members use in the performance of their work. Like everyone else I use technology for school work and personal use. It is very important to use technology in a positive way.

Information refers to details about a project or the set of conclusions derived from data according to our book. I liked this pictures because receiving
information can sometimes be overwhelming. Whether we give it or receive it is important to give the right information. I make sure I get every fact right in order to make less mistakes as possible.

Corrective action is managerial activity aimed at bringing organizational performance up to the level of performance standards. I picked this picture because the teacher seems to be addressing an issue with the student. This can be much applied to the day to day life even if I don't have a job. Addressing an issue and fixing it is very important.
