My favorite book is the The Godfather. The story follows the Corleone Family. It discusses the challenges the family faces in New York and the difficulty of their lifestyles. The story takes place in their family home in Long Beach, New York City and in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is my favorite book because of each characters development as they grow older!

Frannie and Zooey by JD Salinger. It’s about belief in self and in God and how vanity and intellectual perfectionism can be the enemy of love and devotion. That’s what I took from it. I also took from it that being a big brother is both spiritual and transformative.

My favorite book is Wonder by R.J. Palacio. This book goes through the life of a young boy named Auggie with a severe facial deformity. This story takes place in a neighborhood in New York City, in Auggie's home and school. This is my favorite book because it shows that kindness and courage matter more than physical appearance, and these traits will help to gain the respect of those around you.

My favorite story is the book thief. It tells the story of a family hiding a Jewish man in Nazi Germany. It is beautifully written as though it is from the perspective of death and shows the strength of kindness.

The book did not read like any other book I’ve read. It was a stream of consciousness, not really a story. You are put in the book like you are a part of the group. Each description of the same desert landscape was original. I plan on reading it again at some point because there was a lot to miss.

Daughters of War

I love a good historical fiction and this one focuses on a woman torn between obligations to her family and supporting the war effort of World War Two. It incorporates action, romance, and suspense as it follows May from an unhappy marriage, to becoming a nurse on the front lines, to doing everything to support her daughter. Great book, based on a true story, that I would highly recommend.
