I switched from DRHS because I needed more academic flexibility, as I am always traveling and/or working. Online school was the perfect choice for me because it lets me get my education from anywhere in the world, but still be part of a school! When I was younger, I roadtripped almost every state in the US with my family for motocross racing/training. As of late, though, I've been doing a lot of international travel on my own. In the past year, I have been to nearly every Canadian province, Iceland, the UK, and the Netherlands. I plan to keep the list growing, as traveling to new countries, especially on my own, is a huge confidence booster and helps me to learn and grow as an individual. Right now, it's just a hobby, but I definitely have a pipe dream of someday being able to turning into something bigger (and maybe even profitable haha). Here's a shot of mine from Amsterdam in November. (It might be too small in padlet, but if you look close enough, you can see two swans swimming in the center of the canal  --  it was a picture perfect moment.) I started when I was two, began competing at 6, and stopped when I was 14 to race motocross. However, after learning that I had an overuse injury in both of my arms from all my years of gymnastics, I had to get both elbows replaced and will never be able to compete in competitive sports again. However, things came full circle and I now coach gymnastics full time. I coach both recreational and competitive gymnasts and I love everything about it. I will definitely continue coaching the sport throughout my life.
