My son left a box before he left to college. He was packing so fast, but he must have forgotten this box. There is nothing special about the box. It is small, so nothing important can be in it, right? Yesterday, he called me and asked, "Dad, I might have left a really important box at home. Can you check that it is home?" I said yes and that I would mail it to him. I check in his room, but it is not there. I should have moved it somewhere else. I called him again. "Son, it is not here. It must have walked away by itself."

"Dad", he said, "It could not have walked away. It is a box." As we talked back and forth about his box, I saw a box walking down the street. I went outside and saw the box walking and whistling. I should have trusted my instincts! My son never listens. I would have chased the box, but I had no pants on and had to look for them. I was not expecting to leave the house today, much less chase my son's box down the street!

Last year, I was walking home when I saw strange lights in the sky. I told my friends, but they said I might have imagined it. The lights moved too fast to be a plane. it must have been something else. Later that night, my phone started making weird noises. Someone could have hacked it, but it didn’t make sense. I recorded the sounds and played them to my brother. He laughed and said I should have gone to sleep earlier. But when I translated the sounds online, it might have been an alien language. Nobody believed me, but I still have the recording.

Topics that might have been difficult to believe is about mermaids, aliens and a particular character that I always heard during my childhood in DR, which is Ciguapa, there is actually a movie called La Ciguapa,

“ La Ciguapa" refers to a mythical creature from Dominican Republic folklore, often described as a beautiful woman with backwards feet and long hair.” She usually supposed to appears at night in forest or Countryside. Obviously I would never believed in La Ciguapa but I did got scared when I used to visited country during the night time.

That voice was familiar to me. It kept calling my name. I started being scared. I should have shouted loud for help! Oh my god! It was a ghost! I couldn’t ran, I was shocked! But then, it just disappeared. I went home and told my parents what happened but they didn’t believe me! They said that it would have been a figment of my imagination!

When my sister was a little girl, she said she had 100 dogs.

They were small and very cute. They must have lived in our backyard.

Her friends didn’t believe her. They said, “You can’t have had so many dogs!”

But she had pictures. Some dogs might have been toys, but they looked real.

One day, our aunt came. She said, “You should have told me about the dogs!”

She wanted to see them, but they were not there. My sister might have left the gate open.

My mom said, “You should have been more careful.”

My sister was very sad. She must have cried all night.

Maybe the dogs could have gone to play somewhere else!

I could have left it at home, but I was sure I had taken it with me.

When I told my brother, he didn’t believe me.

I live in a house with a large backyard. I like to have my vegetable garden and also to have birds around. I always put food for the birds but they must have dropped some to the ground because now there are also rabbits in my backyard. The rabbits could have been digging around because every morning I find some holes on the lawn. We think the bunnies are cute, but guess what: after some weeks we can’t have said the same. There are lots of bunnies around. They eat my vegetable garden and come to my porch like they are waiting for more food. I could have predicted that and close all the holes. Maybe I must have donated the first bunnies.
