I believe the importance of this in the Cold War is that if everyone had the same opinion on the Soviet Union we could have quickly dealt with them but we didn't, because many had varying opinions on the Soviet Union.

I chose this for Cold War events because it shows some small acts of kindness that occured during this time, showing that it wasn't completely a bad time in history.

The importance in this one, and the reason I chose to include it is that not every decision that the U.S had during and before the Cold War was perfect. Some decisions we had were misjudged and made things more difficult.
